Southport Champion
Operatic society to perform Lloyd Webber masterpieces by Guest

THE award-winning West Kirby Light Operatic Society (WKLOS) presents its Liverpool concert debut with a sparkling cocktail of musical favourites at the concert hall in St George’s Hall on March 3 and 4.

The talented chorus are set to woo audiences, taking them on a musical journey through songs old and new, from classic Cole Porter hits to some of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most famous musical masterpieces.

Songs from Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia and Les Miserables are just some numbers from the exciting repertoire. The ensemble will also perform numbers by Rogers and Hammerstein, Sondheim through to Handel’s Hallelujah chorus and Carl Off’s Carmina Burana, as well as pop classics by Simon and Garfunkel, Manhatten Transfer and John Lennon.
The evening is all professionally held together by WKLOS compere Mike Ellis.
Tickets are £10. To book call 0871 424 4444 or visit www.wklos.org.uk
